Renewable Energy Harvesting Final Project

I took ME 3260 “Renewable Energy Harvesting” with Professor Zachary Ballard in the fall of 2024 and I completed the final project working with Sam Tull and Andrzej Prince. The goal of the project was to design a wind turbine blade given a maximum rotor height and a wind velocity profile. This was a phenomenal exercise in the design process as one of the key components of the project was to make and defend the assumptions that we made to reach our final design. Python was used to complete the calculations and graph the results.
